The First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University is a Grade-A tertiary hospital that integrates medical treatment, teaching, scientific research, prevention, healthcare, and rehabilitation. It possesses strong emergency care capabilities, a high level of scientific research, and international exchange proficiency. The hospital was originally established in September 1928, with its predecessor being the Medical College of the former Henan Sun Yat-sen University. In 1930, the Medical College was renamed the College of Medicine. In 1931, the Provincial Henan University Affiliated Hospital was established. In 1942, it was renamed the National Henan University Affiliated Hospital. In 1952, it became the Affiliated Hospital of Henan Medical College. In 1958, it relocated from Kaifeng to Zhengzhou and was renamed the First Affiliated Hospital of Henan Medical College. In 1985, it was renamed the First Affiliated Hospital of Henan Medical University. In 2000, following the merger of the former Zhengzhou University, Zhengzhou University of Technology, and Henan Medical University, the hospital was renamed the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University. In 2012, it became a hospital jointly supported by the province and the ministry. In 2017, Clinical Medicine was designated as a national "Double First-Class" construction discipline. The hospital has received numerous honors, including National Civilized Unit, National "Top 100 Hospitals," National Advanced Unit in Hospital Informatization Construction, National Demonstration Base for County Hospital Assistance, National Excellent Hospital in Quality Nursing Services, and National Advanced Unit in Hospital Culture Construction

This system achieves secure access control for operating room personnel, intelligent dispensing and recycling of surgical gowns, shoes, and caps, as well as item traceability.
